Citizen's Charter

Mandate

The Local Government Unit of Bagac was conferred the status of its independent government agency by Republic Act No. 7160 or known as Local Government Code of 1991. By virtue of said law, the agency is constitutionally mandated to perform the following:

  • Enjoy genuine and meaningful local autonomy to enable them to attain their fullest development as self-reliant communities and make them more effective partners in the attainment of national goals. Towards this end, the State shall provide for a more responsive and accountable local government structure instituted through a system of decentralization whereby local government units shall be given more powers, authority, responsibilities, and resources. The process of decentralization shall proceed from the national government units.
  • Ensure the accountability of local government units through the institution of effective mechanism of recall, initiative and referendum.
  • Require all national agencies and offices to conduct periodic consultations with appropriate local government units, non-governmental people’s organizations, and the other concerned sectors of the community before any project or program is implemented in their respective jurisdictions.
Vision

By 2028, Bagac is the prime sustainable tourism destination and an eco-industrial center of Bataan, with God-loving, empowered, and proactive citizenry in a livable, balanced, and adaptive environment, supported by well-planned, accessible, and efficient infrastructure and diversified, sustainable, and inclusive economy, led by a highly-motivated, well-equipped, and development-oriented local government.”

Mission

The Local Government of Bagac, Bataan shall lead in:

  • Serving the people of Bagac and the public with professional integrity, politeness, consciousness and accountability.
  • Promoting the general well-being of the people by strengthening the Mamamayan Muna Hindi Mamaya Na service Culture.
  • Doing what is the best and what is the right for the public and the municipality.

We, the officials and employees of Local Government Unit of Bagac, Bataan commit to:

  • Serve you with a ready smile, integrity, politeness, and courteousness by authorized personnel with proper identification from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., without noon break as beyond eight hours daily services as call of duty demands it;
  • Ensure that there is a comfortable area to our clients;
  • Respect and treat the client as the most important person in the office;
  • Valiant in doing what is the rightful and open to complaints seeing to it that these are responded to soonest or within the day and the delay in the service should be well explained;
  • Commit quality public services promised in the Citizen’s Charter;
  • Empower the public through provision of suggestion box in the forefront of the Municipal Hall and valuing citizen’s, comments, suggestions, and needs including those with special needs such as differently abled, pregnant women and senior citizen’s, 24/7 access to information on our policies and programs, activities and service through the website.
