Municipal Population

As per Rural Health Unit record, Bagac has (5) urban barangays with a population of 12,821, and (9) rural barangays with a population of 19,210. The most populated barangay is Barangay Pag-asa with 4,436 followed by Barangay Parang with 3,567. The least populated barangays however are Paysawan, Binuangan, and Quinawan, with 838, 799 and 858 respectively, all located at coastal areas.

Household Population and Size

Based on the estimated population of 2019, Bagac has a total of 8,047 households with an average household size of 3.49. In a per barangay level, Barangay Pag-asa has the most number of households of 1,180 or 14.66 percent of the Municipality’s total households while Barangay Paysawan has the least number of households of 187 or 2.34 percent. Of the 14 barangays, Quinawan has the most number of household members of 4.40 which is higher than that of the Municipality.
